We are focussed on improving the integrity, security and performance of our network which covers a vast area and delivers electricity to over 3 million homes and businesses each day. With customer expectations about security of supply continuing to rise as well as changing climate patterns, we need to plan ahead investing in measures that will help us ensure we meet these challenges. We are committed to putting customers at the heart of our business and we want to ensure all interested parties are given the opportunity to be involved and influence decisions.
During 2009 we will be discussing our distribution network investment requirements and level of charges with our regulator, Ofgem, for the five years to 2015. Prior to this we are keen to gather a wide spread of views to help us to develop more informed decisions. The closing date for all responses is 26 September 2008.
