Meter Point Administration Service (MPAS)
We do not install meters at your property but we do provide you with a Meter Point Administration Number (MPAN). Your MPAN number will only be available once you have accepted your new connections quotation and will be provided within 5 working days.
An MPAN number is a unique number to the property and when provided to your chosen electricity supplier it enables them to arrange the installation of your meter. The MPAN number remains the same even if the meter is changed at a later date.
Once your meter is installed your MPAN number will be shown on the electricity bill that comes from your supplier and all future billing issues associated to the meter will be deal with by them.
The Meter Point Administration Service (MPAS) can also provide the following information:
- Which electricity company is registered to supply a property and the dates they have supplied that property
- Supply/MPAN numbers for reference (13 digits)
- Supply/MPAN numbers to change suppliers (21 digits sent out by post)
- Supplier enquiries (supplier password required)
You can contact MPAS on: 0845 270 9101. A limit of 2 queries per call is in place; bulk enquiries being dealt with by fax. All other enquiries are requested and replied to by fax. These include Supply Number requests and Data flow enquiries.
