SPEN launches industry leading customer connections portal



We have launched a new customer connections portal across our transmission and distribution networks to provide an easy to use platform for our connection customers. The specialised platform was created following feedback from customers who required a simple way to view and track the status and progress of their individual projects online.

To kick off the project for a session was held for customers to let us know what they needed from an online platform. This feedback was then incorporated into the functionality of the portal to produce a fresh, agile, and user-friendly experience.

The aim of the portal is to improve the customer journey and ensure the online tool can meet the expectations and needs of customers with efficiency.

The portal allows a centralised point for all available information and updates about all the customers’ live projects from commercial properties to wind farms. They are also able to create, track, review and make payments for existing projects and can contact their project leads at a time that is suitable for them.

Guy Jefferson, Customer Service Director at SP Energy Networks said: “The introduction of our new online connections portal will significantly improve the end to end process for our connections customers. The portal will help customers and organisations, large or small, through the planning and development stages of their project as well as letting them log in to review the project status at a time convenient to them.
