Lorg & Longburn Wind Farms Grid Connection

We are proposing the construction of a new 132kV wood pole overhead line in Dumfries & Galloway. The proposed development is needed to connect both of the proposed Lorg & Longburn Wind farms to the electricity transmission network.

Public consultation events for the Routeing Stage took place in April 2017 with comments invited on the proposals in the following weeks.  There have subsequently been amendments made to the preferred route, taking into account this feedback.

The Amendments to the Preferred Route document (copy below) details how the feedback received have been taken into account and associated figures show the amended route.

A drop in event to update members of the public is scheduled to take place on the following date:

Lagwyne Hall, Carsphairn, A713, Carsphairn, DG7 3TQ

Wednesday 24th January 2017

15.00 - 19.30 hours

For background information, the Routeing Consultation Report (copy below) provides full details of the proposal.  A hard copy is also available at Carsphairn Shop and Tearoom providing the local community with alternative access to the information. A copy of this document is also available from Dumfries & Galloway Council, Kirkbank House, English Street, Dumfries.
