Storm Compensation

Storm Doris: 23rd/25th February 2017

Storm Doris swept across large areas of North and Mid Wales, Cheshire and Merseyside during the period 23/25 February 2017, causing significant damage to the distribution network in our licence area.  We would like to apologise to all of our customers who lost power during this time.

If you have receipts to reclaim costs for purchasing hot food during this period, then please forward these at your earliest convenience to:

We are currently undertaking a full analysis of the incident, in line with the Energy Regulator, Ofgem’s Guaranteed Standards covering exceptional events.  After initial analysis we believe that this will reach the threshold for a Category 2 storm, indicating compensation is due to customers without supply for more than 48 hours continuously.

Therefore, along with reimbursement of receipts for hot food, we will pro-actively contact and compensate customers that meet the above criteria.
