Colleagues from our Social Obligations team are taking on the 14 mile Kiltwalk from Clydebank to Balloch to raise funds for Glasgow's Golden Generation. The charity is one of the partners we work with to help support our Priority Services Register customers.
The charity aims to improve the quality of life of older adults in Glasgow through a variety of support services ranging from
- Three Day Care Centres which focus on reducing loneliness and social isolation through activities
- Befriending Service where trained volunteers visit older adults in their homes aiming to keep their clients more active and involved in their communities.
- A network of weekly social clubs throughout Glasgow providing a chance for the older adults to meet up regularly with peers.
Every penny that is raised will be topped up by 50% thanks to the generosity of Sir Tom Hunter and The Hunter Foundation.
