Distributed Generation Stakeholder Event

16/12/2015

We were delighted to welcome a group of our stakeholders to the latest Distributed Generation Stakeholder Workshop, which took place in Glasgow on Tuesday, December 15th.

In recent years we have witnessed an upsurge in the number of customers seeking a distributed generation connection to our network, against a backdrop of changing market conditions, evolving technologies, Government policy changes and increasing capacity constraints on our network.

Our top priority is to understand our customers’ needs and work with them to provide quicker and cheaper connections, whilst improving our communication and flexibility.  With this in mind we shared information with our stakeholders on:

  • Our new District Structure, including contact points
  • Our Investment plans to increase capacity on our network
  • Releasing unused capacity from connected customers
  • Effectively  managing contracted capacity
  • Improving our process to facilitate Quicker Faster Connections
  • Innovative solutions to getting you connected

Most importantly we asked for feedback so that we can ensure that we are addressing the main issues that our customers face.  The day consisted of a mixture of presentation and round table debates and it is our intention to run similar workshops in the New Year across our other licence areas.
