Six months ago, we began a new chapter for our transmission business.
On 1 April 2026, RIIO-T3 officially began: our £12 billion, five-year investment programme designed to modernise, reinforce and expand the transmission network across central and southern Scotland.
The ambition is unprecedented. From the pages of our business plan to real progress. Our teams and delivery partners are mobilising a major programme of strategic investment alongside hundreds of core projects and three major HVDC projects. All whilst maintaining our 99.9% network reliability and safety performance record.
Our RIIO-T3 Business Plan also recently won the 'Energy Transition Initiative of the Year: Projects and Systems' at the edie Energy and Tech Awards.
