Power Champion Competition Launched

We have this week launched a ‘Power Champion’ competition to schools across our network areas, to help raise awareness of what to do in emergency power situations.

Schools are being encouraged to nominate a pupil from primary four to seven as a ‘Power Champion’ to explain why their school is best at preparing for a power emergency.

The nominated ‘Power Champion’ will submit 100 words on how they prepare for a power cut to be in with a chance of winning an iPad and storm kit for their school.  One winner will be chosen from Scotland, one from North West England and one from Wales.

The competition will be featured in the media across all three regions, promoting our new emergency numbers.

The nominated ‘Power Champion’ for each school will receive an information pack and updates to help them with their entries. If you know of any school that may be interested, entries should be submitted to before 5:00pm on Thursday 18 December.
