We've teamed up with three-time Paralympian Robyn Love to raise awareness of our Priority Services Register (PSR) and the difference it can make for families like hers.
Robyn – who has represented Great Britain in wheelchair basketball at every Paralympic Games since 2016 – is an inspiring figure known for her dedication, resilience, and advocacy for individuals with disabilities.
She has created an informative video that shows how she and her family rely on electricity at home and why the PSR matters for people with disabilities and families with children under 5 years old.
The Priority Services Register is a free service designed to provide additional support to customers who may need extra help during power cuts. It’s available to customers over the age of 60, those with a disability, a child under 5 or who have a chronic illness or rely on medical equipment at home.
Joining the PSR doesn’t mean your power can be restored any quicker, but it does mean customers can benefit from a range of services, including advanced notice of planned power cuts, priority support during outages, and tailored communication options to suit individual needs.
More than 1.4 million households have already signed up to our PSR, ensuring they have extra help in place should they need it.

This initiative is crucial for ensuring that people who might need a bit more support during a power cut receive exactly that.
