SP Energy Networks donates to British Red Cross

16/10/2014

SP Energy Networks’ partnership with the British Red Cross is a relatively new one, which we hope will extend for many years to come.  The charity provided support assistance to our customers during the storms which affected parts of the UK in February this year. We rewarded this with a cheque for the value of £8k for their hard work.

Suzie Taylor, SPEN Social Obligations Manager, accompanied by Caroline Johnstone, Customer Contacts Team Leader presents the cheque to Simon Lewis, Head of UK Emergency Planning and Response and David Morison, Operations Manager for Scotland  on behalf of the  British Red Cross below:

As storm season is approaching, The British Red Cross will work with us in prioritising services to our most vulnerable customers and provide emergency support during major incidents across our License areas; Central and Southern Scotland, Merseyside, Cheshire and North and Mid Wales.

We hope that our blossoming partnership will bring satisfaction to our customers in a time of need and during the most severe weather conditions this year and in the future.

On 31st July 2024 we published our 23/ 24 Annual Vulnerability Report covering performance for Year 1 of RIIO- ED2.

‘‘The year 2023/24 has been foundational for our ED2 programme. We worked hard to build on the solid foundation established in ED1 to evolve our partnerships, tools, and processes that will allow us to achieve our expanded ED2 ambition. At the same time, we have continued to focus on customers’ pressing needs, from delivering excellent support during emergencies to offering a range of extra help aimed at improving their welfare.’
