Transport of Electricity Network Transformer

24/10/2014

SP Energy Networks would like to advise of an abnormal load movement of a 400kV Electricity Network Transformer, weighing in the region of 200te. This will be travelling from Grangemouth Docks to Wishaw Grid Substation on major road networks throughout the central belt of Scotland, specifically the M9 & M8 motorways.

The transport will take place between Saturday 25th October 2014 2000hrs & 0500hrs Sunday 26th October 2014. The load will be under police escort during the movement. SP Energy Networks would like to take this opportunity to apologise for any inconvenience this transportation movement may cause.

The work is being undertaken as part of essential improvements being carried out the SP network to ensure continued delivery of a reliable, consistent and safe electricity supply.
