Transport of Electricity Network Transformer Leith to Sighthill

SP Energy Networks would like to advise of a further abnormal load movement of a 400kV Electricity Network Transformer, weighing in the region of 200te. This will be travelling from Leith Port to Sighthill on major road networks throughout Edinburgh.  The transport will take place between Wednesday 29th October 2014 at 2100hrs & arrive approximately 0200hrs on Thursday 30th October 2014. The load will be under police escort during the movement and Edinburgh Council have been notified.

The work is being undertaken as part of essential improvements being carried out the SP network to ensure continued delivery of a reliable, consistent and safe electricity supply.

SP Energy Networks would like to take this opportunity to apologise for any inconvenience this transportation movement may cause.
