Bonnybridge Network Rail Connection

Bonnybridge Network Rail Connection: As Network Rail progress with the Edinburgh Glasgow Improvement Programme they have requested a connection be supplied to the site at Greenhill Road, Bonnybridge.

Work on the connection commenced in October 2015 and is now complete with the cable route running between Bonnybridge Sub Station on Falkirk Road to Greenhill Road and being entirely underground cable. Significant sections of the route involved cable being installed under the road and we made every effort to keep disruption to a minimum while safely carrying out our activity.

The route also passes through Anderson Public Park and under the Forth and Clyde Canal and we managed to keep the facilities at the park open to the public as we worked within our controlled areas ensuring  Health and Safety requirements were met at all times.

The physical installation of the connection is completed, however it has not been energised as yet - this will take place in due course at the request of Network Rail.
