We’re now engaging on our next investment plan and we need your input. Known as ED3 (Electricity Distribution price control 3) the next business plan period will run for five years from 2028-2033.
We’ll be investing billions in the network to ensure that it continues to meet the region's needs, now and for decades to come.
This is a once-in-a-generation investment at a critical time for the electricity network as we invest in the energy transition to underpin clean growth.
It’s also the first time that we’ll be delivering a joint plan across SP Energy Networks and SP Electricity North West since the North West’s network joined the ScottishPower / Iberdrola family in 2025.
We’re working hard together to make sure that customers and stakeholders get the benefits of our new bigger group, with more resource and expertise to deliver for the region.
