Our final feedback event took place on Thursday, 7 August 2025.
SP Energy Networks attaches great importance to the effect our work may have on the environment and local communities. As a part of our application, we held two rounds of public consultation in May 2024 and May 2025, rounded off with the latest feedback event in August 2025 to share “you said, we did” type project information. We would like to thank everyone who submitted their feedback and attended our consultation events. Your feedback helps us shape our proposals so we can develop the project in the best way.
We have now submitted our planning applications to Fife Council; an In Principle application for the converter station and a Full application for the underground cables.
We have prepared a Pre Application Consultation (PAC) report to accompany the planning applications. This document summarises the feedback we have received during the consultation period and how this has influenced our plans. An Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIAR), a Design and Access Statement and a Planning Statement also accompany the planning applications to Fife Council.
Once the application is available on the Fife Council website for you to view and comment on we will add links on our website.
