SP Energy Networks have successfully completed the connection of North Kyle Wind Farm in East Ayrshire.
The wind farm is situated nearby New Cumnock, East Ayrshire and is now connected into New Cumnock Substation which is located on the B741 between Dalmellington and New Cumnock. With clean energy now flowing into the transmission network – the windfarm is capable of generating over 200 MW of clean energy – the equivalent average use of around 160,000 homes.
