Oliver's Forest Connection FeedbackThe last day for submitting feedback is 25 July 2025.SP Energy Networks (SPEN) owns and manages the electricity transmission system across Central and Southern Scotland. We are part of the Scottish Power Group. The Scottish Government has set a target of Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2045 – meaning that Scotland’s contribution to climate change would end, definitively, in one generation. For Scotland and the UK to meet their targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to Net Zero, we need to increase network capacity so we can transport more green energy to our homes, schools and businesses, where it is needed. The project involves establishing a new transmission connection between the proposed Oliver's Forest Wind Farm and the proposed Redshaw Substation. As the Transmission Licence Holder, SP Transmission is legally required under the Electricity Act 1989 to provide a grid connection.Stakeholder engagement, including public involvement, is an important component of the Scottish planning and consenting process.SPEN recognises the importance of consulting effectively on proposals and is keen to engage with local communities.About You* Title:Please enter a maximum of 100 characters* First Name:Please enter a maximum of 100 characters* Surname:Please enter a maximum of 100 characters* Are you responding on behalf of an organisation: Yes NoIf yes, which one:Address:Postcode:Please enter a maximum of 100 charactersTelephone:Please enter a maximum of 100 charactersPlease enter a valid number.Email (if you would like to receive project updates):Please enter a maximum of 100 charactersPlease enter a valid email address.* Did you attend one of our public exhibitions?
