The wind farm is located to the west of Sanquhar in Dumfries and Galloway with construction of the collector substation and the 5.5 km underground cable already underway and making good progress. The underground cable routes back to Glenglass Substation where the clean energy will feed into the grid for wider use.
Sanquhar II windfarm connection is scheduled to be completed in Q3 of 2026 with generation capacity that will deliver up to 308 MW of electricity.
