Important Change – Heat Maps Moving to the Open Data Portal
The latest SP Transmission Heat Map data is now available through our Open Data Portal, our central platform for accessing SP Energy Networks' network datasets.
By registering for the Open Data Portal, you'll be able to access the latest Heat Map data, discover other network datasets, and benefit from a single location for SP Energy Networks' open data publications.
To view the latest Heat Map dataset, please visit Transmission Generation Heat Map and register for an Open Data account.
Please note: The Heat Map displayed on this webpage is based on data published in June 2026 and is no longer updated. For the latest Heat Map data and future updates, users should access the Open Data Portal.
This webpage will remain available until 3rd August 2026 to support the transition to the Open Data Portal.
Please note, the heatmap does not take into account any changes to the queue following queue formation from the NESO. Our heatmap is directly linked to the NESO’s TEC Register which we have been notified, won’t be updated until Gate 1 and Gate 2 contracts have been signed.
