Part A

Construction work on the substations and overhead line is complete, commissioning planned for Q1 2016.

Part B & C

Parts B&C - Work commenced in 2016 and is due for completion in 2017/2018. Part B will see the construction of a new 132kV overhead line between New Cumnock Substation and the new substation at Blackhill. The new Glenglass substation will connect to Blackhill Substation via an overhead line. Tree clearance contract to start in early 2016.

Parts D2, D3 and D4

Originally constituting parts D1, D2, D3 and D4, there are now only three ‘Part D’ elements, as Part D1 is no longer required following the removal of North Kyle wind farm.

Part D2 - involves a 132kV wood pole overhead line between Dersalloch wind farm and New Cumnock substation. The eastern section will be an underground cable which will be installed as permitted development

D3 - refers to Dun Hill substation, two underground 132kV cables approximately 100m in length will connect the substation directly into the overhead line between Black Hill and New Cumnock Substations.

D4 - is an underground cable running between Black Hill substation and Pencloe wind farm.

Dersalloch Cable works commenced on B741 NE Dalmellington in late 2015. Works to be completed for mid 2016 • Over Head Line from B741 SW of Pennievennie Quarry commenced in early 2016.
